Lucky Duck Bus
Unique, Stylish, Funky and Romantic AirBnb accommodation in Valla (near Coffs Harbour and Bellingen, NSW). Smooth 1977 Mercedes lines meet retro 70s, French coastal-chic style in a fully decked out not too "tiny house"!Unforgettable, boutique AirBnb Accommodation near Coffs Harbour, Bellingin and Valla Beach - for work or play!
In 2016, we (Simon and Aurelie) purchased a 1977 Mercedes Bus. We spent more than a year lovingly converting it from a School Bus / Tourist bus (used by a limousine company in Woolongong) into what is now much loved tourist accommodation, known as the “Lucky Duck Bus”. We're located in Valla (30 minutes south of Coffs Harbour and close to Bellingen), on 5 acres that includes a forest section, and just 4 minutes off the M1 and 6 minutes drive from Valla Beach.
The "Lucky Duck Bus” is a retro 70s, coastal-chic style bus (not too "tiny house") with some French touches. She is unique, highly functional, fun, secluded, romantic, quirky, memorable and available as short term tourist accommodation via AirBnb. Star gazing from the king sized bed, an outdoor shower or bath overlooking the forest, watching some wallabies bouncing around, or viewing and hearing the abundant bird-life - are some of the things our guests tell us they love. Oh, and the "disco dunny".... I ask you why shouldn't the toilet also be fun!? Check out guest reviews below!
Add to that the laid back local communities and truly stunning local environment (with the coastline "out the front" and the mountains "out the back", with uncrowded beaches, world heritage listed forests, water falls, markets, events, the local live music scene and more).... we invite you to come and experience the mid-north coast of NSW, an "Aussie paradise".

The Lucky Duck Bus Host's Say....
Check out these local tips....Deep Creek and South Valla Beach - our spectacular, uncrowded local beaches are just 6 minutes drive from the Lucky Duck Bus. Grab a burger and home made chips from our favourite "locals" cafe Nourish, and then take a dip in "Deep Creek" as it runs into the ocean (from Valla Beach Road, turn right past the Beachhouse Providore Tip: they bake fresh loaves of bread on site!).
The Wharf St cafe in Nambucca Heads - unexpectedly, you can pick up some very good freshly made Macaroons. Your host Aurelie is French and even she says "as good as any in Paris". Tip: get there before they close at 2pm, and try the Lemon Myrtle Macaroons...... yum!
We also love the Indian food at Newriveredge Indian (Nambucca Heads).
